We offer support across the English, Drama and Creative Writing syllabii to supplement classroom activities with professional industry experience and knowledge.

Programs include:

  • specialist speaker/author visits to schools
  • workshops in creative writing (all areas), editing, publication (one-off and programs)
  • discussion panels and forums
  • mentoring
  • playwriting and drama workshops for students writing performance pieces for the HSC Drama curriculum.

We can also develop activities and programs to suit specific requirements, and can run workshops as classroom activities.

Testimonials

“I enjoyed learning about the multiple structures of texts and how easily a story can be manipulated. The character generation was interesting as I realised how many ways one character can convey the values the author wants to present. The workshop was also practical.”
- Amy Leung, Callaghan College

“I liked the way it was fairly laidback, not like a school class. I found it very interesting and useful. I enjoyed all the different aspects of writing we learned about.”
- Sally Murrell, Callaghan College

“It was fun and enjoyable. There was interaction, instead of a standard ‘I talk, you listen’ lecture.”
- Shonaree Simpson, Lake Macquarie High

“It was interesting, productive and helpful.”
- Brittany Clews, Lake Macqarie High
