Our role in your journey to wellness

Our services

Individual Therapy

The highly experienced team of psychologists at Hawkesbury Wellness Centre have individual areas of expertise and interest that allow us to tailor the approach and find the best practitioner for you or your family. The psychologists at HWC use evidence based practices and will work with you to meet your needs and goals.

Individual therapy provides a safe and confidential space for personal exploration and growth. It allows individuals to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and self-esteem in a supportive environment. Through tailored therapeutic techniques, your therapist will support you to gain insight into your thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards achieving your personal goals. If you're seeking clarity or support, individual therapy can be a valuable step towards positive change.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive environment to share your experiences, gain insights, and learn from one another’s journeys. This collaborative approach encourages connection and reduces feelings of isolation, promoting emotional healing and personal growth.

Facilitated by one of our passionate and qualified therapists, group sessions provide a safe space for open dialogue and reflection, empowering each participant to explore their challenges while fostering community and understanding. Ideal for those seeking to enhance their mental well-being or better their social skills, group therapy nurtures shared experiences that can lead to sustainable change.

Assessment

The team of psychologists at HWC are highly skilled and trained in a variety of assessments including cognitive, memory, academic, Autism, behavioural and more. Please contact us to discuss which practitioner best suits your assessment needs.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy offers an effective platform for partners to navigate challenges and enhance their relationship. In an increasingly complex world, many couples face difficulties related to communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy. Therapy provides a safe, neutral space for both individuals to express their feelings and perspectives.

Our approach at Hawkesbury Wellness Centre focuses on understanding each partner's unique experiences, fostering empathy, and cultivating constructive dialogue. By engaging in guided discussions with a qualified therapist, couples can uncover underlying issues, establish healthier patterns of interaction, and set mutual goals.

Supervision

Some of our psychologists are board approved supervisors and can provide supervision to psychologists, educators and health care workers. Professional supervision is provided in group and individual formats.

Supervision provides a safe space to debrief, critically reflect on your practice and grow as a professional. This often includes discussion of specific cases, ethical concerns or work practices. Our supervisors are highly experienced, senior psychologists who have a passion for supporting other professionals.

This consultation can be counted towards APS, PBA and AHPRA requirements.

Professional Partnerships

Our psychologists can network and support the community in a variety of ways. This could include providing training to staff, writing reports and consulting with staff on policy and procedure related to mental health.
